Ticket Adjudication Service Center Provides Limited Payment Methods Today
(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles
Adjudication Services operation will provide limited payment methods on
Friday, March 30, 2007 due to ventilation problems on March 29 in the
Adjudication Services Cashier Office. The closing of the cashier office
will only impact customers seeking to pay with cash or credit/debit cards
on site at 301 C Street, NW.
Ticket payments can still be made with money orders and checks at
301 C Street, NW. Tickets can be paid with credit/debit cards
on the DMV
website or the Pay By Phone Line (202) 289-2230). The ventilation
problems will be resolved by close of business March 30, and
the cashier office is scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 2, 2007.
The Adjudication Cashier Office accepts payments for the following ticket citations: parking, moving, photo enforcement (includes red light and speeding).
Customers who have booted vehicles should call the Traffic Ticket Status and
Pay By Phone Line (202) 289-2230) or pay online at the DMV
website, or visit 301 C Street, NW and make payments with money orders
only.
For vehicles that have been towed, customers can only pay the associated fees with credit cards online or at 301 C Street, NW with money orders. Traffic and parking tickets can also be paid online.
Customers with tickets that are scheduled to incur doubled fines on March 30, 2007 will not incur the doubled fine fee until April 2, 2007.
All functions at 301 C Street, NW including Walk-in Hearings, Certified Driver's Records, Permit Control/Reinstatements, Insurance and Driver Services in the Service Center will be available during normal business hours.
