Southwest Inspection Station Observes Code Red Heat Advisory Service
Hours Monday, June 9 – Tuesday, June 10
(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles Inspection Station, located at 1001 Half Street, SW, will observe code red heat advisory service hours, opening one hour earlier at 5 am and closing five hours earlier at 1 pm due to the unhealthy air quality and excessive heat forecasts for Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Regular hours of operation are 6 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday and 7 am – 3 pm Saturdays.

The Inspection Station provides vehicle safety and emission inspections. Customers are encouraged to check on our website (www.dmv.dc.gov), watch media coverage, or contact us at 311 (or (202)-737-4404 outside the 202 area code) to ensure the code red service hours are not cancelled or extended due to a change in the weather.
All other DMV Service Center locations will observe normally
scheduled hours of operation.
