DMV Southwest Inspection Station
Extends Code Red Excessive Heat Service Hours
Effective Tuesday, July 10 - Wednesday, July 11
(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles
Southwest Inspection Station, located at 1001 Half Street, SW,
extends observance of code red service hours through Wednesday,
July 11. The Vehicle Inspection Station will open one hour earlier
at 5:00 a.m. and will close five hours earlier at 1:00 p.m. due
to the excessive heat temperatures forecasted for Tuesday, July
10 and Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Regular hours of operation are
6 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday and 7 am – 3 pm Saturdays.

Service Hours 5:00 am until 1:00 pm
The Southwest Inspection Station provides vehicle inspections.
Customers are encouraged to watch media coverage, check on our website or
contact us at (202) 727-5000 to ensure the code red service hours
are not cancelled.
All other DMV Service Center locations and Adjudication Services
will observe normally scheduled hours of operation.
