Power Outage Temporarily Closes DMV Penn Branch Service Center
(Washington, DC) The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles Penn Branch Service Center (located in the Penn Branch Shopping Center at 3220 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE) is temporarily closed for transactions due to a power outage in the Penn Branch Shopping Center. Pepco is on the scene but no estimate of when power will be restored is available at this time. . Employees are on standby to re-open the Service Center when the power is restored. The Penn Branch Service Center opened as scheduled at 8:15 am this morning and provides vehicle registrations and renewals, titles and driver's license issuance & renewals.
All other DMV Service Centers, Adjudication Services and Inspection Station are open and operating as regularly scheduled. Customers that want to facilitate a DMV transaction today should visit another DMV Service Center listed below:
