Vehicle Registration and Inspection Provisions

• Provided that all motor vehicles and trailers owned by the Federal and District governments, and the Washington Metropolitan Authority, are subject to inspection and will be charged an inspection fee.
• Authorized the Mayor to charge federal agencies for the registration of vehicles.
• Provided that the Director may collect payment for inspection at time of inspection.
• Established a penalty for a late inspection.
• Clarified that only those drivers domiciled in the District of Columbia may register their vehicles.
• Provided penalties for failure to register under International Registration Plan Agreement.
