Commercial Drivers License - Eligibility Restrictions
You are not eligible to apply for a DC Commercial Driver License if you:
- Have a revoked or suspended driver license
- Have a certain medical conditions such as diabetes II
- Have a certain criminal felony convictions within the last three years (if you would like to work as a school bus driver)
- Have a scheduled hearings on moving violation tickets
- Have a unresolved citations (such as tickets or judgment) in another jurisdiction
- Are a non-US citizen who does not possess a valid Permanent Resident Card (NOTE: If you do not have proof of lawful permanent residency, but you are legally in the US under a program approved by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, then in accordance with federal law, we will issue a CDL that is marked as non-domiciled.)
