DMV Emergency Closures

The following are instructions to DC Citizens per DC Government Policy:

If DC Government Is Closed

All DMV facilities are Closed. All scheduled hearings, inspection appointments and road tests will be rescheduled.

If DC Government Is on Liberal Leave/Unscheduled Leave

Mondays: DMV’s Brentwood Road Test/CDL Office, Temporary C St., Penn Branch and Southwest Service Centers and the Inspection Station are closed. Adjudication is open at normal time.

Tuesdays thru Fridays: DMV’s Brentwood Road Test/CDL Office, Temporary C St. and Penn Branch Service Centers are closed. Southwest Service Center, Adjudication and Inspection Station are open at normal times. All road tests for the day will be rescheduled.

If DC Government Is Opening 2 hours Late

All DMV facilities open at 10:15 am. All hearings, inspection appointments and road tests scheduled prior to 10:15 am will be rescheduled.

DC Government Is Opening 2 hours Late AND Is on Liberal Leave/Unscheduled Leave/Telecommute

Mondays: DMV’s Brentwood Road Test/CDL Office, Temporary C St., Penn Branch and Southwest Service Centers and the Inspection Station are closed. Adjudication is open at 10:15 a.m. All hearings scheduled prior to 10:15 am will be rescheduled.

Tuesdays thru Fridays: DMV’s Brentwood Road Test/CDL Office, Temporary C St. and Penn Branch Service Centers are closed. Southwest Service Center, Adjudication and Inspection Station are open at 10:15 am. All hearings and inspection appointments scheduled prior to 10:15 am will be rescheduled. All road tests for the day will be rescheduled.

If DC Government Is Dismissing Employees Early

DMV facilities remain open for advertised service hours.

If Event Is on Saturday

As determined by government based on emergency conditions.
