District DMV Locations to Close for Veterans Day Holiday

(WASHINGTON, DC) – In observance of Veterans Day, all District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) locations will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. All DC DMV service centers, adjudication services, and the inspection station will resume regular business hours on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

Customers are encouraged to plan ahead as the days before and after a holiday are usually busy. The following services are available online at dmv.dc.gov:

·        Renew vehicle registration (can only be done online or by mail; no in-person visit)

·        Obtain duplicate vehicle registration

·        Renew driver license

·        Obtain duplicate driver license

·        Renew identification card

·        Surrender tags

·        Obtain driver record

·         

DC DMV has more than 40 online services, enabling customers to “skip the in-person trip.”
