Clear Your Driver's Record

If you have outstanding moving violation tickets on your record and would like to clear your record, you must first go to the Adjudication Office. Then, to obtain a clearance letter, visit any DMV service location with proof of ticket payment.

You may pay for any outstanding tickets at a DMV service location , if you are attempting to obtain or renew a driver's license or other operating license at the same time.

You may also pay outstanding tickets online or by phone with a credit card by calling (202) 289-2230. DC Government accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. DC Government does not accept American Express credit cards.
