Duplicate DC Non-Driver Identification Card

You may obtain a duplicate DC non-driver identification card to replace your damaged, lost or stolen DC non-driver identification card. The DMV makes DC non-driver identification card replacement convenient by offering replacement services online or at a DMV service location. . If you visit a DMV service location to obtain a duplicate, a new digital photo will be taken.

The Patriot Act, Public Law 108-458, National Intelligence Reform Act of 2004 does NOT allow for social security numbers to be displayed on driver licenses or identification cards.

Requirements

You must present the following original documents and pay applicable fees to replace your DC non-driver identification card in person at any DMV service location. We regret that we cannot accept photocopies or scanned documents.

Non-US citizens may obtain a duplicate identification card at any DMV service location; however, renewals must be obtained at our Georgetown service center located at 3222 M Street, NW, in the Georgetown Park Mall, Lower Level, Washington, DC 20007.
