Replace a Non-Driver ID Card

If your Non-Driver identification card has been damaged, lost or stolen, you can obtain a duplicate Non-Driver identification card. The DMV makes obtaining a duplicate Non-Driver identification card convenient by offering the service online or at a DMV service location. For the online transaction, you must possess a DC REAL ID Non-Driver identification card (star located in upper right corner) or Limited Purpose Non-Driver identification card. Your unique Non-Driver identification card number, which is contained on previous DMV receipts or driver records, is necessary to maintain the security of your identity.  If you visit a DMV service location to obtain a duplicate, be sure to review the requirements for in-person replacement Non-Driver identification card as the document requirements have changed, and you will be need to bring additional items with you.
