Testing Requirements

You must take and pass the following test:

• DC DMV knowledge test and street sign recognition test
• Vision screening test
• Road skills test

Non-US Citizens with a valid, unexpired, out-of-country driver license may not be required to take the road skills test. Only out-of-country licenses that the DMV can authenticate will be accepted.
