-DC DMV will no longer prevent DC residents from applying for a new or renewed driver’s license because of failing to meet the requirements of the Clean Hands Law.

 

-DC DMV recommends the use of masks by employees and customers at all DC DMV facilities. Masks are still required during the in-vehicle portion of a road test.

Violations and Penalties

Remember, it is unlawful to:

  • Park in a space reserved for disabled individuals without displaying your disability placard or tag.
  • Allow anyone to use your disability placard or tags unless they are transporting you.
  • Create or use a counterfeit copy of a disability parking placard or vehicle tags.
  • Alter a disability parking placard or vehicle tags.
  • Make a false statement about a disability in order to obtain or assist someone else in obtaining a disability parking placard or vehicle tags.

Violations of these offenses could result in fines and/or imprisonment or the revocation of your disability parking privileges.
