Disability Tags and Placards

On behalf of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), which regulates parking in the District, DC DMV issues disability parking placards/permits. Disability parking placards/permits are placed inside the vehicle on the rear-view mirror, while the vehicle is parked in a space authorized for the disabled and must be displayed/readable from the front windshield. The placard/permit must be removed while the vehicle is in motion.

DC DMV also issues disability vehicle tags to District residents.
