The School Garden 101 Training will take place on June 10, 2013 from 3:30-5:30pm at the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) 810 First Street, NE 3rd floor. The School Garden 101 training is geared towards school administrators, staff, teachers and community members that are interested in starting, maintaining, and using a DC school garden to support nutrition-based lessons as a part of their curriculum. This training will provide:

  1. An overview of the DC school garden program
  2. Steps to creating and maintaining a successful school garden
  3. A panel discussion
  4. Resources to support your school garden efforts

Additionally, feedback provided by participants during registration will help direct the focus areas of the training. PLU credits are available. There are 30 spots available, so sign-up here!
