Online Services

Using these services—available at the links listed below — you can “skip the trip” to our service centers and conduct your DC DMV business wherever and whenever you choose. DC DMV complies with federal regulations regarding the use of credit cards, so to utilize the online services and pay with a credit card, use browsers with minimum version requirements, such as:

  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Apple Safari

Unless otherwise noted, all of DC DMV's online services are available 7 days per week/24 hours per day. Additionally, secure Internet access is available at all District public libraries for conducting DMV online transactions.

Special authorization services allow dealers, insurance companies, fleet companies, and other authorized agencies that have obtained unique digital certificates to perform secure and restricted business transactions with DC DMV.
