District of Columbia Economy Adds 1,000 Private Sector Jobs in June

Washington, DC – The District of Columbia Department of Employment Services reported today that the preliminary June job estimates show an increase of 1,900 jobs, for a total of 732,200 jobs in the District. The private sector gained 1,000 jobs, while the public sector payrolls increased by 900 jobs. The numbers are drawn from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) through its monthly survey of the District of Columbia’s employers.
