Contest a Minor Moving Violation Ticket

To contest a minor moving violation ticket, you must request a hearing with DC DMV within 60 calendar days of the date the ticket was issued. If you don’t request a hearing within 30 calendar days, a penalty will be assessed. The penalty is the same amount as the ticket fine, meaning your ticket payment will double.
