DMV Introduces New Online Change of Address

Friday, August 27, 2010

District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) continues to be a model agency in terms of providing alternative channels for service delivery. Our latest online enhancement allows residents to change their address and “skip the trip” by not visiting a service center. Residents are required to update changes in address within 5 days to keep their records current. The online change of address transaction will allow residents to update their address for their driver license, identification card, and/or vehicle(s) registered in the District of Columbia. Residents can also complete a change of address when renewing their driver license, identification card, and/or vehicle(s) registration during the renewal online transactions.
