-We are experiencing a system error that is causing duplicate refund checks to be issued to some DMV customers erroneously. If you have been affected by the glitch, to quickly resolve this matter please deposit or cash one check and destroy the other. If you attempt to cash the second check, it will not be honored by the bank.
We apologize to all DMV customers for the inconvenience as we diligently work to rectify this issue.

-DC DMV will no longer prevent DC residents from applying for a new or renewed driver license because of failing to meet the requirements of the Clean Hands Law.

DC DMV's Ticket Services Webpage

The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) is the agency through which you can contest parking, photo enforcement, and minor moving violation tickets. DC DMV also accepts ticket payments.

Note: DC DMV does not issue tickets. Parking, photo enforcement, and minor moving violation tickets are issued by the DC Department of Public Works, the District Department of Transportation, and law enforcement agencies including the Metropolitan Police Department, US Capitol Police, US Park Police, and more than 30 other agencies.

In general, when you receive a parking, photo enforcement, or minor moving violation ticket in the District, you have several options to respond to the ticket:

Register for the ticket alert service (TAS) today to find out about tickets issued to a vehicle you own, along with hearing decisions and other ticket-related information.
