Registration for Ticket Alert Service (TAS)

A ticket alert service (TAS) account will give you near real-time notification of ticket-related activity on up to four vehicles and a single driver license—that is, you’ll get almost instant notice when tickets are issued, reminder emails about ticket deadlines or penalties, and alerts if a vehicle is impounded.

To create and activate your account, you must provide key information to verify your identity. Your information and identity will be protected.

How to Enroll

Enrollment in TAS is free. If you are not a resident of the District of Columbia, your driver license or your vehicle tags must have received at least one ticket in the past 18 months to enroll in TAS. Effective December 19, 2022, District residents are no longer required to have a ticket on record to enroll. You can enroll up to four vehicle tags and one driver license on a single account. Once you’re enrolled, you can log in to your account to check the status of tickets.

DC DMV will send email notifications to your email address when any of the following things happens:

  • When a new ticket is issued
  • When a payment is applied
  • Before you are no longer eligible for a hearing
  • Before late penalties are applied
  • Before a ticket is assigned to collections
  • About special DMV programs/announcements

With a TAS account, you will also be able to log on and view all images associated with a ticket and all information in the ticket history file, such as hearing requests and outcomes, payments, appeals, etc. You can also link to the ticket payment and hearing scheduling functions online.
