(WASHINGTON, DC) – In observance of Memorial Day, all District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) locations will be closed from Saturday, May 26, 2012, through Monday, May 28, 2012. It should be noted when a holiday falls on a Monday all locations are also closed on the preceding Saturday. All facilities will reopen on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Customers are reminded the days before and after a holiday are extremely busy; therefore, customers are encouraged to use our online services at dmv.dc.gov.

Also, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, the DC DMV Inspection Station, located at 1001 Half Street, SW, will begin its summer hours’ schedule. This means the station will open and close one hour earlier to accommodate the warmer summer days. Therefore, the hours of operation will be 6:00am – 2:00pm starting June 5, 2012. Customers are also encouraged to stay alert to possible code red days which result in the Inspection Station operating on different hours.
