The Commercial Driver License (CDL) skills test waiver form may be used by service members who are currently licensed and who are or were employed within the last 90 days in a military position requiring the operation of a military motor vehicle equivalent to a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). This waiver allows a qualified service member to apply for a CDL without skills testing. CDL knowledge (written) test(s) cannot be waived. The transfer of School Bus(S) and/or Passenger (P) endorsements under this Waiver Program are prohibited.

From Sunday, September 27 at 8:00 PM until Monday, September 28 at 6:00 AM, DC DMV's online and mobile services will be down due to scheduled system maintenance.
On February 5, the Georgetown DMV Service Center experienced a significant water main break. Due to flooding impacts, the Georgetown DMV Service Center will remain closed to the public until further notice. DC DMV's services will remain available at our other locations, online and via our mobile app.
Due to a systemic issue with real-time authorization, the ACH/Electronic Check payment feature has been temporarily removed from all DMV online and mobile app transactions. Our team is working with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) to resolve the matter. Contactless, credit/debit card, cash, and check payments continue to be accepted in person.
