UPDATE: All DC DMV locations will be closed Thursday, November 23, 2017 AND Friday, November 24, 2017 in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. All scheduled ticket hearings on Nov. 24 will be rescheduled and customers will be notified by mail. Also, customers with scheduled inspection appointments on Nov. 24  will receive an email with rescheduling instructions. Normal business hours will resume Saturday, November 25.

DC DMV’s Adjudication Services is Open at L’Enfant Plaza

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Adjudication Services Division of the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles’ (DC DMV) has relocated to 955 L’Enfant Plaza, SW and is open for business beginning today. The new office is environmentally-friendly and on track to receive LEED Silver accreditation. Some of the features include bottle water filling stations to reduce plastic waste and individual ceiling units in the hearing rooms to reduce energy consumption. The services: obtain ticket information, pay tickets, schedule a hearing, and have a walk-in hearing for parking tickets, along with the hours of operation are the same.

  • Tuesday:       8:15am – 4pm
  • Wednesday: 9:15am – 4pm
  • Thursday:     8:15am – 4pm
  • Friday:          8:15am - 4pm
  • Saturday:     Closed

Ticket, boot, and tow payment services are available until 5pm.

The previous location for Adjudication Services at 301 C Street, NW is permanently closed.

DC DMV encourages customers who are required to conduct their transactions in-person to prepare for their visit by reviewing pertinent information on the agency’s website at Additionally, many customers can “Skip the Trip” by conducting their DC DMV business online or through the mail. The agency offers more than 55 Internet and mail services, enabling customers to complete DC DMV transactions at their convenience and outside of the agency’s regular business hours.
