(WASHINGTON, DC) – In observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, all District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) locations will be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26, 2014 along with Thursday, January 1, 2015. Adjudication Services will resume regular business hours on Monday, December 29, and the DC DMV service centers and inspection station will re-open on Tuesday, December 30.
Customers are encouraged to plan ahead as the days before and after a holiday are usually busy. The following services are available online at dmv.dc.gov:
· Renew vehicle registration (can only be done online or by mail; no in-person visit)
DC DMV has more than 40 online services, enabling customers to “skip the in-person trip.”
