-DC DMV will no longer prevent DC residents from applying for a new or renewed driver’s license because of failing to meet the requirements of the Clean Hands Law.

 

-DC DMV recommends the use of masks by employees and customers at all DC DMV facilities. Masks are still required during the in-vehicle portion of a road test.

2009 Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

n observance of Memorial Day, the Department of Motor Vehicles will observe the following holiday schedule:

Saturday, May 23 -  All DMV facilities will be closed.
Monday, May 25  - All DMV facilities will be closed.
Tuesday, May 26  - All DMV facilities will be open.

All DMV facilities will resume regularly scheduled hours of operation Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

Due to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday, ALL DMV facilities will be closed on Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25th. When the DMV reopens on Tuesday, May 26th, we typically have an increased volume of customers on the day after a holiday and will be extremely busy. Therefore, please plan your visit accordingly or use our Online Services
