(WASHINGTON, DC) – In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, all District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) locations will be closed on Saturday, January 17 and Monday, January 19, 2015. All DC DMV locations will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
Customers are encouraged to plan ahead as the days before and after a holiday are usually busy. The following services are available online at dmv.dc.gov:
· Renew vehicle registration (can only be done online or by mail; no in-person visit)
· Obtain duplicate vehicle registration
· Obtain duplicate driver license
DC DMV has more than 40 online services, enabling customers to “skip the in-person trip.”
