Due to the Code Purple Air Quality Alert, DC DMV closed its Inspection Station, located at 1001 Half Street SW at 10 am. Customers who planned to visit the inspection station today because their inspection stickers are expiring will be given a five-calendar day extension to renew. DC DMV’s Service Centers will remain open during normal business hours. Many of DC DMV services can be completed online or via the mobile app, allowing customers to “skip-the-trip.”

On February 5, the Georgetown DMV Service Center experienced a significant water main break. Due to flooding impacts, the Georgetown DMV Service Center will remain closed to the public until further notice. DC DMV's services will remain available at our other locations, online and via our mobile app.

Out-of-State Traffic School

If you have received an out-of-state ticket that results in points on your DC DMV license, and you have been approved to attend traffic school by another state or jurisdiction, you can follow that state or jurisdiction’s instructions and complete the traffic school program. Once you have completed it, you may visit DC DMV Adjudication Services to provide the documentation of completion to have points for the violation removed or you can mail your request to:
