To Pass the DC DMV Vehicle Inspection

Vehicle inspection can include a combination of the following test types depending on vehicle category, model-year, weight, and fuel type:

  • Emission Inspection through On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) or tail pipe test
  • Visual Catalyst Inspection
  • Gas Cap Test

When your vehicle passes inspection, you will be able to register it with DC DMV. Bring the vehicle inspection report with you to a DC DMV service center to register your vehicle.
