  Event 1 Event 1 + 30 days Event 2 Event 2 + 30 days
Request for Reconsideration The hearing examiner upholds your ticket. If you disagree with the hearing examiner's decision, you may file a Request for Reconsideration. Your Request for Reconsideration is denied. If you want to continue to adjudicate this ticket, your next step is to appeal with the Traffic Adjudication Appeals Board (TAAB).
Motion to Vacate You failed to appear for your scheduled hearing and the hearing examiner upheld your ticket based on the government's evidence.

You may file a Motion to Vacate explaining:

  • why you failed to appear (excusable neglect such as hospitalization, incarceration), and
  • providing a defense to the ticket
Your request for Motion to Vacate is denied. If you want to continue to adjudicate this ticket, your next step is to appeal with the Traffic Adjudication Appeals Board (TAAB).
